At the Rose and Crown we offer a great range of traditional pub food served with fresh locally grown vegetables with a superb specials board.


 

To temp your taste buds you could start with;
Soup of the day

Prawn Cocktail with traditional Marie Rose sauce

Breaded Mushrooms with a blue cheese dip

Melon slices with dashes of raspberry coulis
 

Followed by;
Fillet of Fish Blanquette – Fish poached in white wine served with a light cheese sauce and prawns topped with a flaky pastry ‘hat’

Home-Made Chicken and Ham pie topped with Sauté Potatoes

Juicy Sirloin/Rump Steak – served with onions, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes chips and peas

Giant Yorkshire filled with Mash potato, Roast Pork and apple sauce

Nut Roast – served with locally grown vegetables

Beer battered haddock – served with chips peas and a wedge of lemon

Chicken in Orange and Tarragon Sauce – served with rice and locally grown vegetables
 

Concluding with;
A variety of home-made cakes and puddings as the daily deserts menu, all served with pouring cream, ice cream or custard.
 

Fancy a lighter Bite? 
For our lunch time menu we have a selection of;

Door Step Sandwiches with a wide range of fillings and a choice of breads. All are served with salad and coleslaw garnish and tortilla chips.

Jacket Potatoes deep filled from choices of Prawn to Egg Mayonnaise, Spicy Chilli to Tuna and Cheese to Sausage and Onion Gravy

The revived Baskets Meals are back by popular demand. The baskets can be filled with Traditional Scampi and Chicken Nuggets, Local Sausages, Cheese and Vegetable Bakes to Beer Battered Haddock. All are served with chips.

Monday to Saturday 12.00 – 2.30pm and 6.00 – 9.00pm
Sunday – Traditional Roasts 12.00 – 4.00pm
